Actually, I'm not the one going (sob!) - its my colleague who just handed in her notice to go diving for 2 months. I would love to carry her gear too!

Besides, lucky you all who have responded as at least you've been there! I've only been to Tioman for my lesson. And then developed a fear for diving and haven't dived since.

Now that's sad.

She is going diving for 2 months?!

In that case, she should plan an itinerary - and if money were no object I would join a Dive safari and visit some of the more remote locations(less visited= better flora+fauna)

NOthing much happened during my lesson - I just didn't realise how many rules there were to diving - and it suddenly dawned on me that if I didn't follow the rules seriously, then I could actually die from it. Silly reason, but it really hit me when I had that revelation.
