Has anyone been to either of their resorts there?

Which is nicer and better for families. We are hoping to go in Jan 2009.

We went to MW in Hurghada a couple of years ago for New Year. Unlike most of the other MWs this is just part of a normal (but very nice) hotel. The hotel facilities/accommodation was wonderful but it was totally lacking the usual MW atmosphere. Beautiful but far too quiet for us.

bluesky · 25/09/2008 17:32

hurghada one mega windy in the morning, which is great if you like kite-surfing!

pools were cold, so my two wimped and wouldn't get in.

have got tennis courts since we went

liked food, liked service, but wouldn't go back.

I've been to Dahab with Neilson (who are next door to MW). Looked like a nice hotel! And the windsurfing is excellent.

We had a good hol but I wouldn't go back. I found the cultural differences a bit stressful and we all had an upset stomach while we were there (as did about 50% of all the guests).

And we saw a barracuda in the water on the last day.

hillybilly - a 5% discount by stating take the family when you call them.

bluesky · 26/09/2008 19:09

probably get more if you book through avante garde travel, mark warner and club med specialists, they've been used lots by mumsnetters.
