Where in Lanzarote for a quiet family villa holiday?

We are looking to go to Lanzarote in early December and wanted any advice on family-friendly resorts, villas or things to do?

We have a 3 yr old and 5 month old and want a 4 bed villa with pool near a sandy beach - and don't mind being a little away from "nightlife".

I was interested to see this thread as I'm about to book a 3 bed apartment for us (me, DH, DS1 (3) and DS2 (18m) and our nanny) with White Beach Holidays in Playa Blanca, departing on 6 Nov. There are tons of villas etc on various websites - quite overwhelming actually! Ours in a small complex but centrally located so the nanny can get around with the boys without needing a car. And she can do her own thing when off duty without being stuck in the middle of nowhere.

Hope mads1 has a good time in Dec. Seems it's a reasonable resort and most people seem to have had a good time. Sorry to hijack but any tips of things to do/see?
