Baby car seat in a holiday hire car full of air bags?

Our car here just has 2 airbags in the front. Ive just discovered our hire car on holiday will have them in every seat. I thought you shouldn't place a babyseat where there was an airbag?

Is n't it forward airbags which cause the real problems rather than side ones? I didn't think you could get front ones in the rear of a car but can stand to be corrected. Can you put it in middle of rear seat instead, assuming it is a 3 point belt.

Problem is Lizs - we got two!

This website suggests it's ok, but don't leave any stuff between the door and the kid.

I think front airbags are the big problem.
