looking at whether we can afford to go..
have 7yo, 4 yo, and 2 yo.

can go whenever, and hopefully for 3 nights/4 days...(pref out of half terms etc)

have looked into it and it seems that we can't do it for less than about £1500 all in...how come the adverts show really cheap amounts??

so, how much did you pay roughly?

Duh I'm stupid (and I work in a bank ) I have got my euros got them at 1.25 to the £1 so should have been able to work the conversion out . I'm taking around 750euros (think it was around £600ish?? got them ages ago) so am budgeting 120 euros per day for evening meal and occasional drink in day (dh & I not bothered about lunch and happy to snack on stuff we take and neither dd's are big lunch eaters thankfully!)

Pirate - DH glad to hear about garage he'll need his crisp fix

As long as the prices haven't changed massively in the last year, you 'll be able to eat out comfortably on that. We weren't having set meals or anything like that either, steaks, mixed grills etc for us, plus drinks were cocktails or beer.

thanks panda thats really put my mind at ease (didnt want to spend the entire time we're there worrying about money and we are desperatley trying not to use our credit cards unless its a genuine emergency)

We just paid £88 per night b and b for 4 at Best Western Marne la Valle (in Bussy St Georges about 5 mins from RER , 7 mins(2 stops) to DLP and 35 to centre of Paris) or you can aprk at DLP for 8e a day(longer walk to car than RER though). DLP cost £132 for 1 day,2 park passes for 4, booked in advance. Average meal set us back about 60e but Buffalo Bill's show is worth it if you want to eat and be entertained one night(prebook)and under 3's go and eat free.
