Car seats on Holidays??

We are planning on taking our ds to Tunisia next april, he will be 15 months then so will be in the heavy car seat by then.

Should we take it with us on holiday as im not happy about the thought of him not being strapped in on long journeys there.

What have others done in this situation??

I have used the hire ones, but have not been very happy with them - bit smelly and not sure how to fit them. Would recommend taking one with if your worried about it.

how many long journeys will you be doing when you're over there?

if it's just a coach transfer from the airport I wouldn;t take it

It will be the transfer to and from the hotel which is about 1 and half hours plus any day trips out we do.

I dont know if its bus or taxi transfer though!!
