It will be just one night, Saturday. Want somwehere within 2 hours or so of Cardiff (so south-west/wales/midlands etc).

Just a nice romantic night, somewhere a bit special but not ridiculously priced. Any suggestions of hotels or good websites to look at would be great TIA

I thought of the cotswolds, any recommendations on hotels?
Not sure how far Cambridge is, why what you got in mind Fimbo?

Just looked at Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin etc, they want £235 for a night in a bed ffs!!!

I don't know if this link will work properly but will try anyway - Holiday Inn.

You can get 2 nights (if you can get babysitters for the extra night) for £30 per night.

We have stayed here before and would recommend it. There is a free on site leisure centre with pool etc.

Cambridge is a lovely place too

tiredemma · 27/08/2008 12:16

No- Malmaison do special deals £120 for a room with dinner. Think that you have to phone them though.

Fimbo · 27/08/2008 12:16

As I thought link didn't work properly click on "check availiability"

We cant do the friday fimbo as I am out celebrating with friends.

I want to stay in the Malmaison Oxford, it looks amazing, cheapest rooms are £160 which isnt too bad I suppose, but would love to stay in one of the old cells which are £220.

Do you think it will get much cheaper on late rooms or something if i wait?
