Whatley Manor is lovely but more like 2 hours from London. No kids under 12!

The Grove?

just had a look at the grove site - it does look MASSIVE! lovely spa though...

one aldwych looks nice too, but i think we quite like to get out of london, just for a night...

Babington?

hf128219 · 27/08/2008 10:29

Babington - lovely but too many unruly children for my liking.

kuta · 27/08/2008 10:29

What about Champneys?

They do residential packages which include treatments etc or i think you can pay accom then choose and arrange treatments etc.

Its the ultimate pamper weekend.

thanks for all the advice ladies. the wedding anniverary is today. i went for the option no 1, which is one day interior design for 2 (we're renovating an old farm house in italy). I let him take me on a romantic break some other time...

oh, and my present was tickets to dirty dancing musical. can't wait!it's a great sucrifice on his part, bless him. i dragged him out to see mama mia film few weeks ago. he suffered all the way through. i loved it!
