Last year, we went to a really good fun Guardian/Borders family event at the Borders bookshop in Islington. I saw an ad for it this week and it's happening again this weekend (16th-17th August) in all Borders stores across the country apparently. It's a free day and there are balloons, arts, crafts and colouring activities. Also, there's a 25% discount on full priced books if you pick up a voucher in the Guardian on Saturday (16th August) or in the Observer (17th August). The vouchers will be redeemable all of next week and are redeemable online too. We bought loads of good books last year and our kids had a great afternoon.
