Anyone know the rules on taking food for children on flights where there is none provided?

We are taking a four hour flight tomorrow with DD's (1 and 2.5).Think will take a big jar for DD2, which will be OK for security, but are you allowed to take, say, a home made sandwich through (for DD1)..or snacks like biscuits etc?

Hope so as the thought of a 4 hour flight without bribes does not appeal.

Can only find guidance about liquids on the website, food not mentioned

thanks..

Yes, I took sandwiches for dd when we went away in June. Also fruit and small packs of biscuits were fine. They did however take the yogurt as it was more than 250ml I think.

Prob a bit more expensive, but anything you buy once you have been through security is fine, so perhaps get some bits and bobs from WHSmith or Boots to eat as well. Have a great holiday!
