Should I go for a cruise or hotel with 2 children ?

We want to go away in February half term, a canaries cruise works out as a similar price to a hotel and we cant decide which to go for. Children will be 9 and 5.

The cruise would be a new experience but we would all have to share a cabin with no option of a balcony or anything so we would basically have to go to bed when they did.

Bit worried it wont be warm enough to fully enjoy the pool, beach etc if we stay in a resort.

What would you do ?

Cruise. Kids on some cruise lines can stay in kids club and have a baby sitter when you have dinner and or drink.

Who is it with?

I think I would go for the cruise, I have heard great things about them recently in terms of child friendliness.
