Child and baby-friendly accommodation in Bangkok

Hi - we are planning a short trip to Bangkok, possibly in Oct/Nov time, with two children aged 3 and about 10 months. Does anyone know any good, child-friendly accommodation, preferably where we can have a suite, two interconnecting rooms, apart-hotel or some way of putting the children to bed without having to sit in a darkened room for the rest of the evening? Thanks.

We had two interconnecting rooms at the Sheraton Royal Orchid in Bangkok last year. It is not the smartest hotel in Bangkok but we found it very pleasant and it had all the facilities we needed.

Thanks - that's useful, I will have a look at it online!

The Marriott on the river at Bangkok was great for us, our twins were 3.5 and we had one room. There was a club for the children if you wanted to use it, fantatsic breakfast buffet and boat taxi service into town. It was truly wonderful and very reasonable.

We've stayed in serviced apartments in Bangkok with our 3 young children and we're going again in October. You can get 1-3 bed apartments for the same price or less than a suite or inter-connecting rooms in a good hotel.

So far we've stayed in the Somerset Suan Plu and the Somerset Lake Point apartments but this time we're splashing out a bit more and staying in the Ascott Sathorn.
The Suan Plu was slightly better than the Lake Point but both were excellent places to stay with children. Daily maid service and daily breakfast were included in the price and they did (good) room service. You also have a washing machine and dryer in the apartment which I find essential even for only a few nights.

There's a home delivery company in Bangkok called foodbyphone.com which delivers from restaurants all over Bangkok so you can put the children to bed and then enjoy a meal. chefsxp.com also seems to be a restaurant delivery company.
