Lots to do around the Forest of Dean...this website has links to lots of attractions.

www.visitforestofdean.co.uk

I would recommend Puzzle Wood, the Dick Whittington Farm Park, Dean Heritage Centre and Elton Maze.

Lots of the local leisure centres have free swimming sessions at the moment...details here

..the Forest of Dean?

I believe the locals are fond of a spot of banjo-duelling....

There is loads of things to do here...

Hopewell colliery (a mine you can go down great for the kids)
puzzle woods
clearwell caves
symonds yat
canoeing on the river
cinema (if wet)
mohair centre
go ape (adventure centre)
sculpture trail at beechenhurst

hope you have fun i love it here.

I really like Taurus crafts. Your DCs can throw a pot, you can have some lunch and wander around. Looks as if there is a Summer schedule as well. There's a model village next to Taurus, but it may have shut down.

The Dean Forest Railway may be steaming.

I'm sure that I read somewhere that you can go llama trekking as well.

Have fun, it's beautiful in the Forest of Dean.

Just got back.

Went to Clearwell Caves - really good

Cinema - to see Wall-E (as was very wet)

Into Monmouth - has the best fish and chips ever.

Thanks for the tips.
