York restaurants

Hi. It's our wedding anniversary and we are having a weekend in York. Could anyone recommend a good restaurant within walking distance of Piccadilly, please? We love Italian but will give most things a go. Thanks so much. CB

I've eaten at both Meltons, and Meltons too, one is more informal than the other but cna't rememeber which (think meltons is more formal) - enjoyed both. Very fancy (and pricey) one on grape lane.

Hi - Can't remember the name but very good Italian next door to the Theatre Royal down by the river. Perfect on a warm evening - very "rosemantic"
