I feel realllly bad for not doing this sooner but when we were first looking for a villa to stay in with baby numero uno we came onto mumsnet and got a recommendation from Sukhi(?) for a villa rental company and have now been 3 times, even with a 6 month old to the same babytoddler family friendly villa, each time we get back I think we should come on here and say thanks but never did until now. So THANKS! Will try and find your username to send a message direct, we loved Casa Arabella. x

HappypillsGalore · 20/08/2008 22:29

mammaismia - that looks nice! am liking the 3 bed bunk room... (I HAVE 3 BOYS WHO LIKE TO SLEEP IN SAME ROOM) whoa, sorry for caps there
but the pool is unfenced. in what way is that small child friendlty? dont you have to be on full alert at all times that access to the entire garden is possible?

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/08/2008 22:33

Are you the OP Mammaismia?

Mammaismia · 20/08/2008 22:36

No not op our dc's were 11 , 6, 3 and 6.5 mths.
Yes pool not fenced but older two dc's can swim and dd 3 didn't really go in pool area without us.

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/08/2008 22:38

The OP has recommended this on another thread. Notice the apparent sheer drop on the second photo .

In fact the OP has only ever posted to recommend these villas.

Mammaismia · 20/08/2008 22:41

ooh cant sleep def not op just name changed tonight actually was Lilyloo so loads of other messages.
Note the drop on the photo

Hi I was googling my own villa Casa Arabella and found this thread, thank you for the recommendations but what does OP mean? and DC? I'm confused by the comments on this thread and not used to this forum!

HappyNewJaamy · 19/01/2009 22:26

Ange - OP=Original Poster, ie starter of thread; DC=Dear/Darling Children.
Do you own this villa. It looks lovely but I think the concern is about the apparent steep drop in the back yard by the swings.

AngeP · 20/01/2009 08:44

Thanks Happynewjaamy I understand now, yes the villa is named after our daughter who is now 4.5 years old, we live in Lanzarote and have a villa rental company but this is the one we own as a family. We don't have swings and we dont have a sheer drop anywhere! We have a small play area on the back patio with a castle play unit that has a slide but to the side of that is black picon which covers the ground in the flower beds at patio level, we don't have grass as its a volcanic island. We don't have a fenced pool area (we are just gathering quotes to do that this week) we do have pool alarm and safety turtle wrist bands. We don't claim our villa will totally prevent holiday accidents - thats the parents job! We do have a 2 page list of all the baby and toddler equipment we provide which we send to enquiriers so they know exactly what to expect. Hope that answers the questions and clears up the confusion. Just to make sure you know ours is not the one with swings and an apparent sheer drop - www.lanzarotelates.com/villa_pictures.php?pid=50. Thanks again for the kind comments and to Janet and Sukhi for the recommendations. x

stanausauruswrecks · 20/01/2009 18:31

I don't have anything to do with either lanzarotelares or Casa Arabella, but I have stayed in 2 of the other villas on that complex (managed by Lanzarotelates) and they are really lovely. We took DS when he was just under one, and again a year later, and had a lovely holiday both times. Pools were lovely and warm, cleaned weekly, and the villa cleaned while we were there. Would definitely recommend them!

HappyNewJaamy · 21/01/2009 19:12

Hi AngeP - just looked at those photos again and saw my mistake. When Cantsleep spoke about the drop on the second photo (with the play castle, sorry my fault for saying swings instead of slide ) I saw what wasn't there! . It honestly does look like there is a drop on the left down into bushes. Now I look at it again I can see it is nothing more than edging stones and bushes. A bit like one of those trick pictures that you can see two ways. The power of suggestion, eh? I'm ever so sorry.

Your villa is beautiful.

AngeP · 21/01/2009 19:35

Hi Happynewjaamy thanks for that, I'm just glad I came across this and was able to correct it otherwise it could have put future guests off, I found it by googling my own villa, I know that others would do also! We wouldnt have to come onto to forum to promote the villa as we are now in our 4th year with it and the majority of the bookings are repeat and word of mouth. All enquiries welcome though - surely I am allowed to say that now lol! x

stanausauriswrecks - I can't think for the life of me who you could be due to your username but thank you very much and I'm really pleased to hear you enjoy your holidays in villas we manage, hope we get to welcome you back to Playa Blanca and Parque Del Rey again soon!
x

Ps. I've also managed to work out that DS must mean darling son - see I'm learning!

AngeP · 21/01/2009 19:38

PPs. I may even try smileys next - you've been warned! Look out Mumsnet I'm on a roll!

stanausauruswrecks · 21/01/2009 21:13

AngeP - we stayed at Villa Toshiny in Feb last year and Casa Mia the year before - how is Lee getting on?!

AngeP · 22/01/2009 08:29

Morning! How kind of you to ask about Lee, he moved back to England you probably know when he fell in love with a girl who moved back, they spilt up, then he came back here to Lanza in July this year I think but he had an accident in his road buggy, it pinned him up aganist the wall and he broke his leg, he's in England again getting it re-set! I think he's hoping for better luck in 2009. His Mum Liz is still in charge of cleaning on Parque del Rey for us and his sister Natalie is our Saturday girl in the office.
