help please!

we've never been flying before, well the twins anyway

now have a 12 hr flight in front of us and dreading it

is there anything kids can take to calm them down so they might even sleep on a flight/ we're flying during day time hours!

Are you flying with another adult? Then I would get two sets of two seats in different but adjacent rows. Then you can split them up if they are arguing but if they get on then they can sit together and the two adults can sit together and have some peace....

Not sure about the medicating thing - you don't want them to sleep all day and be awake all night when you get there!

thats true, just wishful thinking!

just thought a little sleep on the plane would haelp, as we are flying to Canada and will arrive at our time midnight, their time 3 in the afternoon

maybe the 2 seats would be good

were told by BA they would assigne us seats hope we can change them

Don't let them sit next to each other.

A present that they only get at the end of the flight if they behaved themselves

A couple of new books, stickers ect to give them when in flight

You may just find that they are so fascinated by the in flight entertainment that they don't fight at all.

BA will certainly assign you seats. However, you can choose where you want to sit (except emergency rows) in the cabin 24 hours prior to departure by going onto their website.

is there anywhere on a 747 that would have extra leg room and reclining seats?

Only if you pay far more and sit in either Premium Economy or Club World.
