Right after not affording a Christmas holiday last year - My Mum has decided we need one - where shall we go?

Basically I have a touch of SAD plus ME & without a dose of sunshine in Dec/Jan I have a miserable winter. This year both DH & DD joined me in a run of bugs, infections and general miserableness

Do where can we go this year, I'm broke, I usually like sailing, nice food, good kids club (DD -10 - only child, likes kids clubs esp if it involves sailing, windsurfing etc)

Help?

PS must be school holidays - I can leave on 24th Dec but must be back for work on the 5th Jan

I think too much - did MW & Neilson and loved them both tbh

I don't have any money at all & will be saving it for the next 5 months

Egypt - Dahab or Sharm El Sheikh, both have windsurfing, snorkelling, diving and warm weather (although only from about 11-4pm at that time of year). Egypt is cheaper than longer haul destinations.

I did enjoy Egypt - can you go sailing etc without doing Neilson etc?

I've been googleing & I don't have the £3.5K needed to get us to Neilson/sunsail/MW

If I go to the canaries I don't seem to be able to sail

Aha - found it under sailing schools - which might be a bit intense for me - I'll check it out
