Flying shorthaul from Gatwick, online check-in, hand luggage only - how early do we need to be there?

I guess we just have to allow time to get through security and to the dep gate, but we will be travelling with ds who is 16 months, so won't be going all that fast!

The flight is at 8.45am, what time do you think we need to get there?

I reckon an hour, maybe an hour and a half to be on the safe side. If your flight time is 8.45, that's the time you take off, you will need to be boarding about 1/2 hour before this....

I would say at least an hour and a half. They will close check in some time before the flight and you board up to half an hour before the departure time. Can you check in online?

I would rather be too early than too late, so I would aim to be there at about 0700.
