too big for a sky cot?

is 17mths ds too old for a sky cot? i realise its all probably done on weight but i really have no idea how much my ds weighs right now.ive never used a skycot before, so wot do you think?

Skycots are usually for babies under 12 months of age.

And they are pretty tiny. My average sized 9 month old only just fitted in. Bad luck - you'll have him on your knee!

I have been told weight does not matter but child has to be less than 80 cm long - this is on Lufthansa. It seems every airline has different rules.
