It's AWFUL. Take a picnic.

LIZS · 09/07/2008 16:52

Last time we went I thought it ok - different types at different points such as pasta, baguettes and jacket spuds. Not cheap but probably no more than an average fast food kids' meal. Bear in mind you may need to eat twice during the day if it opens late so may be some picnic is worthwhile.

MilaMae · 09/07/2008 16:52

Thought as much,thanks!!!!!!

Picnic definately. Save your cash for icecreams. There are lockers behind the shop in duplo gardens if you don't want to lug it around.

littleducks · 09/07/2008 20:16

yes and yes

soup was ok though (from a bloke with small soup stall) if you are unfortunate enough to have rainy weather and want to warm up

hana · 09/07/2008 20:18

baguettes aren't bad tho, all freshly made
but def bring a picnic

FossilSister · 09/07/2008 20:28

Yes, food expensive and just OK.

Nowhere to have a picnic tho. Obviously you can just sit down somewhere, but there's no picnic areas, unless I missed something.

ChippyMinton · 09/07/2008 20:32

several picnic areas - behind lego city, next to the lake. In the woods behind the rat-trap. up the hill by the minigolf. And plenty of grassed areas.

hana · 09/07/2008 20:32

there aren't any picnic tables that's right, but quite a few grassy spots that you can plunk yourself down on.

Lapsedrunner · 10/07/2008 07:22

The Knights's Table Rotisserie in Knights' Kingdom does relatively healthy food. As the name indicates is specializes in roast chicken with salad & jacket potatoes.

eleanorsmum · 10/07/2008 07:42

there are some picnic benches near the water firey ride thing 9can't think what its called!) but bteer than than that there is now a huge marquee along side the restaurant (pasta i think!) by the show area where jonny thunders show is. the marquee has loads of benches for picnincs and its undercover of course.

i would say avoid the fish and chip shop as its just that! no real choice, pasta pizza ok but bit stodgy. also likes rotisserie and ribs ones.

have a good day!

katebee · 10/07/2008 21:54

We found the food overpriced and disappointing..we will take a picnic next time.

purpleduck · 10/07/2008 22:14

We always take a picnic but the food in the castle smells REALLY yummy....
