best position for roadside squatting?

Err not me, my dd who's 3. Just that every time, unless all items of clothing are removed, we manage to get p*s EVERWHERE... Any tips?

hold her in your arms, out away from your body, as if she was sitting in a chair, leaning back

ie so nothing underneath her bottom at all, just ground

otherwise they don't get the hang of outdoor weeing without going on shoes till much older IME

I used to use one of those toilet seats that u put ontop of the loo. I would hold it and dd would use like a loo IYSWM, just watch your feet if u do this though

Yes, what Franny says. Her back to your tummy, you hoisting her up under her legs. Pee shoots out frontwards. It's also a good idea to be aiming her pee downhill, rather than uphill if the terrain permits.

seat sounds a good idea, have got a travel potty but obviously never have it with us when need it... So under arms and knees- then lift feet up?

I was going to explain what F&Z has already explained. Hold her up, so her legs are draped over your arms at the knee, with nothing on her bottoms, and crouch down. That way her legs and feet are well out of the way of the line of fire.

Oh really? But surely is they are sideways, you've got more chance of getting hit in the cross fire? If you point them frontwards, it's a bit like peeing like a bloke, iykwim. I should add that DD is a titchy 3 year old. Maybe that allows me to hold her in that position more easily?
