Denmark. We went there a couple of years ago. It has lovely sandy beaches and wild sand dunes with shallow water for safe paddling.

Akyaka in Turkey. Very child friendly, sandy beach and shallow sea. Also child care available from a 32yr English girl. Look at www.akyaka.com for more information.

Lesvos (or Lesbos depending on how you spell it) - very traditionally Greek, not many Brits!!

Almost anywhere in France.

A friend has just come back from Sicily. Not touristy. Restaurants didnt speak English, they were never sure what they were ordering!! That is fine with me, an authentic Italian holiday would be fab.

I am surprised at St Tropez being described as non-touristy!

Okay France is not horribly touristy in the package-holiday-destination (Greek Island) sense of the term. But it is positively riddled with English people.

You can spot them a mile away. They are pasty and generally speaking French VERY LOUDLY in atrocious accents. Tis funny.

Oh and St Tropez is bung-full of tourists. Unless you go in May, which is much more quiet and you get to see it as it is. Mostly without any pasty english people in sight....

Nice is nice of course but I think Easyjet must fly there from Liverpool because last time I went, there were more drunk scousers there than in Llandudno ...
