Marbella in the rain

Another poster whose holiday will be rainy prompted me to check ours.

We fly out Sunday and return Wednesday next week. Rain forecast on all days.

So how do we make the best of it? Our hotel does have an indoor pool.

I’ve seen there are a couple of museums.
What I would really like is a tapas bar and watch live flamenco dancing but it seems not much available on a Monday or Tuesday.

Does anyone know of any hidden gems?

A day trip to Malaga would be do-able - there’s loads there in terms of art galleries and museums, plus the Andalusian Arab Baths for a spa type experience.

The weather might not be as bad as you fear and it still looks like it will be warm. I'm spending a week in the mountains between Malaga and Granada from Saturday so have been busily checking multiple weather apps and crossing my fingers. I'll also be taking a light waterproof and quick drying trousers to cope with showers. From Marbella, I'd second a day in Malaga, also look at Estepona and/or Mijas, put a coat on or use an umbrella and make the best of it.

Plenty of lovely bars and restaurants in Marbella old town but another vote for heading to Malaga. The Picasso museum is amazing.

Outdoor pools are lovely in the rain, you are wet anyway and can usually have it all to yourself. Just bring a waterproof bag.
