On The Beach - Price Drop Protection

I'm so indecisive and I have a bit of a dilemma - I suppose it's akin to gambling which I've never enjoyed!

We booked a holiday in August through On The Beach. Within a week, the price had risen quite significantly and steadily rose to around £800 more than we paid. It recently dropped quite suddenly back to only £60 over, and today it has dropped to £200 below. I can claim this as a voucher against a future holiday, but I'm wondering if this is the start of a downward trend and if I should hold out for a bigger drop? I imagine demand for summer holidays reduces as people start thinking about Christmas? Of course if I wait too long and a part of the package sells out, then the price drop protection will disappear all together.

On the plus side, once you've claimed the voucher, you can no longer see the price drop section on the app, so I won't know if it does drop further! So at least I won't be kicking myself for cashing out too early.

I did for this years holiday (April), at its highest it was £850 but then dropped dramatically and so I waited it out and a few days before it run out it was £380 which is what I now have to put towards a holiday. I did get a bit obsessed with checking it 😂 I suppose you wouldn’t go and check the price of your holiday if they didn’t give that option so I’ll take it as an added bonus.
