Suggestions please

Looking for suggestions please for a 5-7 night break early August 2027. 2 middle aged women. We like an old town feel with nice restaurants and bars.Hotel that we can walk easily out from. Music but not clubs or Brits abroad type of thing. Something more upmarket.

I think you might like Sorrento.
It's the only place abroad we've returned to twice. It seems to fit what you're looking for.

Dubrovnik, Funchal.
They're cruise ship destinations, as is Sorrento, but it's easy to avoid the crowds.

Malaga, honestly, its easy to get to, short transfer from airport. Great hotel choices from super modern to old town boutique. Brilliant food scene, nice bars, it's a proper city. Great seafront. Lovely museums. It's a lovely place for a short break.

Or Palma de Mallorca - all the above apply too. And you can get the cute train to Soller too.

they may be too hot in August in which case copenhagen.

Porto.

Zadar in Croatia or Portinatx in Ibiza. Neither feel like you're on holiday with loads of Brits. Zadar has amazing old town. Portinatx has gorgeous hotels and is stunning.
