Day trips from Le Havre

I am going to be in Le Havre a couple of times next year with work and will have a free day. Looking for suggestions of things to do and places to go locally, have been to Paris and no desire to rush back for a few hours there. Needs to be accessible on public transport and I will have approx 8am to 5pm each day. Is Rouen worth a trip?

Rouen is absolutely gorgeous and well worth a day trip. Such lovely buildings and cafés. Alternatively Deauville is lovely (but more of a summer destination so depends when you are there) Etretat for fancy white cliffs and rock formation. Caen is nice too, castle is so imposing, feels very different to castles here due to the colour of the stone. Afraid I can't help with the public transport bit as we always drive.

Another vote for Rouen. The fine art museum there is well worth a visit and the whole of the old town is pretty, compact and walkable from the station. It's about an hour on the train from Le Havre I think.
Honfleur is quaint and I imagine you can get a bus, although not so much to see and do as in Rouen.
Le Havre itself, while not conventionally pretty, is beautiful in its own, post war way. I highly recommend taking a guided tour to find our more about the reconstruction, and the Auguste Perret apartment.

Deauville, without a doubt.

Rouen absolutely. Honfleur is also nice for a day trip - it has a nice, quite small, art gallery, and we enjoyed the Sur les pas des peintres trail

Honfleur. Very nice, very close to Le Havre. Also Le Havre has a good art gallery.
