We are looking at Norway, possibly September 2027 or May 2028. Prefer a fly drive and would prefer to do a smaller area in depth than skim a bigger area but I'm having trouble deciding. Definitely don't want a cruise.
We like wildlife and scenery. DH hobby is wildlife photography and he'd love to photograph sea eagles so Lofoten looks good for that. I like the look of Senja as less crowded but there looks to be less boat trip options. Or we could base in the Bergen or Tromso areas.
Anyone done similar?

Look up By The Curb on YouTube - they’ve just been to Norway and went to the Lofoten islands. It looks amazing!

Less busy than Lofoten.
I also liked Kjaerringoy https://visitbodo.com/en/destination/kjerringoy/
and the area around Bodo in general. Again, much quieter than Lofoten because the vast majority of people head straight to Lofoten.

That looks interesting. Will have to investigate.
