Has anyone flown hand luggage only and taken protein powders for shakes?

I can’t take the original packaging due to size, but can I take measured amounts in ziplock bags? Will it cause too much hassle through security?

Is there any reason why you are taking them?
Surely you can eat and drink the local food and beverages at your destination unless it's prescribed for medical reasons.

As above. Eat healthy local. People have survived generations all over the world without protein powders.

I got the individual sachets. They're more expensive of course, but it seemed better than attracting attention at airport security with bags of white powder!

Powders in a zip lock? Very sus - check a bag. Do they sell the powders in travel packs? If not - side hustle opportunity?!

I haven't but don't see why it would be a problem. How much of an issue would it be for you if you couldn't take them on the plane?

I recently travelled with some washing powder in a ziplock bag in my hand luggage. Looked suspicious but nobody asked.

Nobody batted an eyelid at my washing powder, though I think the French customs officer was simply looking at me with pity stood beside the motorbike in the pouring rain like a drenched rat (we obviously have very limited luggage space so have to wash clothes!) we carry water bottles and energy bars, that’s it for food, why would you take protein powder, just order a steak!
