Going in November. Not sure which area to aim for - not necessarily the centre as happy to walk a bit. But something not too big, not too bland would be great.

Any seasoned Malaga travellers out there who can help? Thanks

End of November? Somewhere you can see the Xmas lights!

If you advance search my username I asked the same question in the summer and I got a lot of great responses.
I went with the H10 Croma Malaga and loved it so much we’re going back there in December. Every room has a lovely balcony which we made great use of, a great roof terrace and lovely comfortable rooms.
Location is not too much of an issue in Malaga as we found it so walkable and easy to navigate.
Have an amazing time.

We stayed at Hotel Castillo de Santalino. It seems to have changed hands and has been done up. It was a bit tired when we stayed but the building and location are wonderful. It's probably lovely now after a make over

We've been 3x and all off season. I 'think' april, oct and feb. Everything is walkable.
The 1st time we stayed at this hotel https://www.nh-hotels.com/en/hotel/nh-malaga. A perfeclty fine, 4star hotel. There is a pool, but its unlikely to be open in Nov.

Subsequent times we stayed in these apartments which are 1 street away from the Atazananas fruit/veg market. We ate out for most meals, but the apartment meant we could bring back snacks or have breakfast there if wanted. It was about double the size of the hotel room. DH is often up early, so having a separate bedroom was very handy so he didn't disturb me. https://www.santacruz-apartments.com/index.php?lng=en

Palacio Solecio is lovely.

Wonderful suggestions thank you. Interestingly the only other recommendation I’d had was for the H10. I’ll look into all of these.
