Vilnius! OMG the most fabulous Christmassy wonderland ever ever. Very reasonably priced. It is the only time I have seen snow freeze all sparkly as it falls. Absolutely stunning. Loads to do. I out on 8lb in 3 days, the food is immense. Stay as close to the middle of the Old Town as possible. It was 8€ for a cab to the airport.

Downside is it is properly cold. That’s it!

Or other direction - Lanzarote. Stay in playa blanca, take a hoodie for evenings, make sure you book a heated pool.

We're going to Malaga.

Another option if you’d drive: Center Parcs in the Netherlands or Belgium. It’s the Eurotunnel then a few hours’ drive, there’s a big indoor pool so the weather doesn’t matter and 6–9 is the perfect age for it. New Year is usually much quieter there than at the UK parks. We used ParcWatch to watch for the cheapest prices.
