£450 to upgrade from premium to business

We have a day flight home from Dubai. Currently in premium but have an offer of £450 for business.

Already have lounge access as freq flyer. Would you pay it?

Depends on the airline. Qatar Airways/enirates etc yes. Turkish Airlines /crappo jet No.

What is London Airways? No, I wouldn't pay anything for an upgrade because it's a day flight so you don't need to sleep and I'm sure the extra legroom in Premium will be fine for that length of day flight.

BA? No but I wouldn’t fly them unless they were the last resort in any class tbh

if it’s BA I 100% would as their premium is poor but their business club suites are excellent
we paid £900pp for our last upgrade with them so £450 is a good shout

Not for a day flight. Definitely for a night flight but it would cost way more.

£450 for both or each?

If for 2 then I probably would, lounge access can save quite a bit food and drinks wise in an airport (and Dubai isn't a cheap airport!)
Even though a day flight it's definitely not a short flight and I would take the lying down nap.

If each then no I wouldn't.

We upgraded from KL to Bali for £100 each and that's a 4 hour flight - we had our meal then both had massive naps and enjoyed the lounge at both sides (had a connecting flight to London and our airline allowed access use in KL if part of the journey was business)

Yes £450 for an upgrade is very low.

London Airways has been a bit of an "in" joke for years.

Dates back at least in part to when BA pulled back from having bases in the UK regions (e.g Manchester, Edinburgj) and so everything went via London..

TBF and in their defence nobody calls Emirates Dubai Airways or Air France Paris airways but hey ho...
