Where would you go on holiday next week with a 3 year old?

We have an opportunity to go on holiday next week with our three year old. We haven’t been away for ages and desperate for a holiday. BUT we haven’t booked yet and I feel overwhelmed with the options!

Would love to know - where have you been this time of year with small kids? Or, where would you book if it were you?

Would be great to know details eg not just Canary Islands but specifically but which island and which hotel is great for families?

We were thinking a hot(ish) place with outdoor pool. A big water park would be wasted but small slides/splash pad would be good. Don’t want to be completely isolated, need some things nearby to explore. Open to other ideas though we love exploring and adventures! Budget max £1500-£2000, ideally max 4ish hour flights.

Thankyou!!

Spain is allways a nice pick or Portugal

The Avanti Village in Cyprus. Has a lovely big pool, and a smaller lazy river style pool for children. The accommodation is small apartment style so you have a kitchen area plus table, sofa etc. The restaurant does a fab breakfast. We only ever did breakfast included, and sometimes got lunch there too - the restaurant is right next to the pool, you can sit there or do a take away to eat on your lounger.
Lots of restaurants very near, or you can walk to the marina which is also lovely.
This time of year I think you need to go a bit further for guaranteed sun.
We have been to the Avanti a few times. We are actually hoping to go next September with our now much older children (young adults 😭) they cant wait!

Weather looks nice in the Med next week. I would go to the Balearics. We stayed here

And they had a nice splash park and children's pool, range of board options, but the nicer beaches were a bit of a walk away. It was perfectly nice but you might be able to afford higher end on your budget.

Last minute, I would look at the late deals section on whichever package holiday operator (Jet2, Tui, Easyjet) goes from your nearest airport, put in your requirements, use Trip Advisor rating 4+ to filter out anything too awful, sort by price low to high and work your way up. Jet2 has a filter to only include places that have a splash park, once you've added that, you're likely down to a few tens of options at most so easy to skim through to find something that suits.

I love GC. Hotels I’ve stayed in with kids are servatur Puerto azul or radisson blu in Puerto Mogan. Weather looks lovely there atm. I’m heading in 3 weeks so hoping it stays like that.

Not sure if you have chosen yet, but I'll suggest the Valamar Tirena hotel in Dubrovnik or the Sunny hotel if you want AI. The kids club Maro World is still open next week, and Jet2 have deals under £1500. The water will probably be warmer than when I went in May!

Cyprus should be good weatherwise, sorry I can't recommend a hotel for that age group, we went with a teen and then booked as a couple so different requirements.

If the forecast is good, Majorca is always great with little ones, plenty to do and I found the island child friendly. We stayed in S/C villa but the area around Port de Pollensa and Port d'Alcudia were good and there is a good bus network or you can hire bikes with child seat/trailer
