Anyone been through the process of getting permission from a completely absent parent to take children on holiday abroad? Absent parent has PR. We want to do this but worried about what to expect.

I frequently take my children in and out of Europe without their father whom I’m married to, I’ve never been asked about permission from DH even when children aren’t travelling on the same country passport as me however I’m their mother I’m not sure if a father would be more likely to be questioned or asked for permission? I can’t imagine it would flag anything if you have return flights booked but I suppose you can’t guarantee you wouldn’t be asked either.

My ex does not have PA but I am not sure how this can be proven or not. I have taken mine out of the country many times and never been asked if I am married, if they even have a father.
