Chania and Heraklion Hotel recs?

Hello

taking my nearly 18yr old to Crete for a few days end of October. 3 nights in Chania and then 2 in Heraklion. Would prefer a guest house than a hotel, locally owned etc

We can share a twin room or have seperate ones. Budget isn’t inconsequential, probably £150/night?

any nice recs? Pool not necessary but quiet lovely locations more a priority
