Are Tenerife and/or Morocco hot in October half term or just warm?

Really want to get some sun over the October half term and considering either Tenerife or Morocco but I'm worried that neither are properly hot, only warm and that the swimming pools will be a bit chilly. I am a nervous flier so only want to go if it's going to be lovely and warm and nice warm pools otherwise might save our money for another time. Anyone been who can let me know?

Marrakech was hot (30] early october 3 years ago - it had been over 50 degrees that summer so im sure that was part of it. Its supposed to be mid to late 20s generally in october.

We do The Canaries at October half term and Tenerife is typically lovely - around the 25-28 degree region. Happily lie by the pool, but I do find the water a bit cool. No one else seems to mind though so I suspect it is just me being a wuss!

A relative has just returned yesterday from a holiday in Morocco and was excited to report the temperature was in the high 30s.

That sounds properly hot (far too hot!) to me but she loved it. Given the current temperature, I'm sure you'll be fine in October depending on how late you'll be travelling.

Morocco will be hot. It’s still warm enough for full day sunbathing mid November

I went to Morocco at the end of November last year & it was perfect weather. We ate breakfast outside each day (needed a jumper) but the rest of the day was shorts & t shirt weather, including the evenings. We swam in the sea.

When we went to Tunisia in October half term it was warm, 20-23 degrees C. Definitely not hot. The pool and the sea were warm enough to swim in. It was Ramadan, so there was nothing open outside the resort.

We went to Marrakesh in April, it "should" have been 25-30°, the day before we arrived it hailstoned, and the first 4 days were 12-15°, I wore a coat. It warmed up to low 20's for the last few days but it was not the sun holiday I expected.

Went to Morocco at the end of November. It was nicely warm in the day (t shirt weather, maybe 20-22) almost hot if you were in a sun trap. Not TOO bad in the evening, maybe longer trousers and a cardigan, but it was properly cold in the morning (fleece or lightweight jacket 10 degrees), Not sure about an outdoor pool mind, but I am a wuss. Early November is warmer by a few degrees I think. No rain, not windy when we were there. Also I think there is a huge difference in your choices of places to go culturally, so worth a thought. Flights are similar to each times wise. HTH x

Morocco is a large country and weather varies but ideal for winter sun holidays. It can be pleasantly warm during the day by UK standards but chilly once the sun goes down. Take a sweater.

Not been to Tenerife in October but have been to Costa Del Sol October Half Term week, lovely & warm during the day & slightly cooler at night, we did have some rain but it was overnight so didn't really affect what we were doing. You didn't get that blast of heat as you stepped off the plane & it was comfortable to sleep at night. We were round & in the pool or on the beach every day & in the sea.

We normally do Lanzarote for Oct half term. Daytime will be 25c and sunny, I need a jumper at night but DH and DC don’t. The pools are climatised rather than heated (also Spain/EU have rules about heating pools due to environmental/energy stuff) but the sea is warm and lovely to swim in.
