Upper rooms ticket at Royal Alcazar

Has anyone booked a ticket to the upper rooms at the Royal Alcazar in Seville? I know you need an additional ticket with a timed entry but can't understand from the website what time the general entry would be if you had an upper room entry at 2pm.

@BatshitIsTheExplanation we’ve tickets including the upper rooms for a couple of week’s time. It looks like you are asked to arrive to enter the Alcazar an hour before your upper rooms time slot. But you don’t need to be at the upper rooms themselves an hour before, just a few minutes from my understanding of the, not 100% clear , official website.

When are you due to go?

Not until the beginning of November. The website is really unclear!

I’ll post an update once we’ve been we’ll be there about a month before you.

Also, if you have other recommendations for things to see in Seville, I'd love to hear them. I'm traveling with my adult DD to celebrate her graduation.

@BatshitIsTheExplanation we did a tour of the upper rooms four years ago. I agree that timing was unclear. We arrived about 15 minutes before the slot, and the security staff explained the rules. It was very strict and formal. We had to put all our bags, phones, cameras etc into lockers, and then we lined up to go inside in a small group. We had to show our passports too.
Enjoy - it was wonderful.

@BatshitIsTheExplanation we’re staying in Triana so have a local flamenco show booked through the hotel. Beyond Alcazar and Cathedral we’ve nothing else booked yet. But will likely book Casa de Pilatos for the upstairs tour, and possibly a guided tour for Palacio de la Duenas, thought might just do a self- guided. Ditto Palacio Lebrija. Setas will be a turn up, plus any others. Plaza Espana, Murillo Gardens we’ll fit in as and when. Then general wandering round Triana, plus the main old town. The challenge seems to be fitting all these various attractions around Tapas Bars and Restaurants 😁. Plus it looking like sunny and 30 degrees whilst we are there, great for lounging by a pool, but when doing a lot of walking….Also a flamenco museum we saw online. Although we’re there for 5 nights I’m sure we won’t get round everything, and I’m not sure how relaxing it would be to try. Plus good excuse for another trip back to Seville.
