Temperature in Greece next week?

I am off to Greece next week - Kefalonia.

Now worried that it will be cold. Will it? Average temps look ok but in reality?

Showing as 25/26°C, so should be warm, but it is rainy from Sunday 4th -Thursday 8th

"In reality" - nobody knows.

It's weather. It changes day to day. It's a forecast. Nothing more, nothing less.

We went on a long haul holiday last year. The forecast said non-stop rain for the entire 2 weeks. It rained for maybe 2 hours out of the entire fortnight.

Are you going to cancel your holiday based on a forecast? When would you rebook for? You're never going to get a definite answer.

Just take a couple of extra layers.

I'm on the next island over and it is currently still lovely weather during the day. Good for swimming as the water is still warm and warm if you are sat in the sun. It is starting to get a bit chilly if you are sat in the shade and it's windy and definitely jeans and a jumper weather in the evening now.

Very standard weather for this time of year in the Ionian.

Weather in September is unpredictable in Kefalonia,have been when it has been lovely,also been when it has rained and been chilly.Make sure to take layers.

Definitely bring a jacket and jeans/long trousers for the evening.

Greece and Turkey are huge countries; the Ionian islands are hundreds of miles from the Aegean/Mediterranean coast in Turkey.

@OffTheMap I went to neighbouring Corfu in late September a few years ago and the temperatures were lovely, 28c during the day although cool in the evening. Although, a week after we left they were hit with torrential storms and floods. Have you tried looking at Ventusky, it's great for tracking the weather?

I've been to the Ionian islands in September. You might get torrential rain but also some warm sunshine. More southerly Greek islands are better for the time of year.

The forecast for next week looks pretty good there, not super hot but 25-26 and sunny, and still mild at 20 degrees into the late evening. You’ll have a great time! Enjoy.
