anyone have any inside tips on Vienna for teens? I know what I’d like to do but what’s fun for teens?

The Prater is great to stroll in the day, and then to enjoy the snacks/rides at night.

The natural history museum and art museum are gorgeous buildings in themselves, and also have amazing contents (the Venus of Willendorf is a highlight for me).

The Naschmarkt is decent (sorry, I seem to be largely revolving around food here)!

If the weather's good (not sure if you mean for now, or next summer), there are several palces where you can swim in the Danube. This page seems have have most f them: 5 of the best swimming spots you should dive into along the Danube river in Vienna - Vienna Würstelstand

have fun - it's one of my favourite cities!

The Danube tower is great for views of the city and it has a revolving restaurant. There will be Xmas markets and skating rink.link attached.

We saw the Spanish Riding school exercising and practicing. Fantastic indoor riding school. We toured the palace of the Hapsburg and also the history museum and the cathedral.

There will be a Christmas market on but I’ve not been. The tram system works well.

If they have a (fairly) typical teenagers interest in the macabre, they may enjoy this: - Bestattungsmuseum am Wiener Zentralfriedhof - Bestattung Wien GmbH

The cemeteries themselves are also fascinating - and sad, though - when you see the Jewish graves whose families can't keep them up as many others are kept up by descendants. Some of the other statues and memorials are entertaining; it's quite a mixture of experiences.

Other than that - yes, Prater, Christmas markets. The city museum is a good modern one to set the context. They might depending on interests also like the Sisi museum about the Empress Elisabeth - a dramatic story and beautiful clothes.

New Year's in Vienna is brilliant as well - go to the opera, new year's eve outdoor concerts everywhere (https://www.visitingvienna.com/entertainment/events/silvesterpfad/) and waltzing in the streets, the new year's day concert, etc.
