UK Holiday - Christmas 2026

Has anyone booked to go away for Christmas 2026? It falls a bit awkwardly this year and there seem to be a real mish mash of change over days places are offering. Has anyone seen sites that are still offering Saturday change overs?

Not sure what you mean by "change over days" ? We just book the days we want.
I think the awkward days are Tue/Wed & Wed/Thu - means we have to use precious A.L. to get a break longer than 2 days.

I think op wants to book a holiday rental rather than a hotel. An awful lot of holiday rentals run Friday to Friday, Friday being the 'change over day'. This year Christmas Day also falls on a Friday. It sounds like op is looking for a holiday rental starting Boxing Day, finishing Jan 2nd.

Sorry, I left out some crucial information, looking at self catering places. Ideally I would like to book somewhere Saturday to Saturday, from the 19th - 26th December but it doesn't look like it's an option. I've found 20th to 27th which we could do and skip the last day. Just a bit annoying when the previous rental would normally be to the 18th/19th depending on whether a Fri/Sat changeover.

Airbnb is your best bet. I've just put those dates in for Derbyshire and plenty came up.
