Recent reviews awful Akti imperial Rhodes

Help we are due to go akti imperial hotel Rhodes next Saturday booked by Tui and the most recent reviews are awful food poisoning dirty rooms etc

i usually book online so check reviews but was passing so booked in store gave our criteria 4 star minimum mainly for food and cleanliness wanted to be close to Rhodes old town so it fitted the bill booked paid for so didn’t check the reviews at the time and in fairness the poor ones are only recent after we booked

Starting to get organised looking at what we can do and saw the recent reviews and now I am panicking I am going through another extremely stressful time with a family matter and perimenopausal but am already having physical symptoms of stress acid reflux now medicated which has helped nausea and ibs flare ups this was supposed to be a break. I have a mild phobia of being sick hence only booking 4 star plus. I have been on many all inclusive holidays while dc were young and eaten out abroad and never been ill so maybe overthinking. Dc are now adults so aren’t coming

what are my options do I ring Tui see if I can change hotels happy to pay to put my mind at rest or do I just go and hope for the best

has anyone been to this hotel and can reassure me it’s not as bad as the recent reviews i know there are plenty of positive reviews previously at this is probably me overthinking.

Please be kind this isn’t Aibu I don’t have health anxiety and am seeking therapy etc for my stress on hrt. Dh who has a cast iron stomach and is the most chilled out person normally is not helping tonight he’s announced all this talk of food poisoning norovirus he doesn’t want to go even if i change hotels.

Well, have a read of the Terms and Conditions for your current booking and see if you can change the hotel. Failing that, go back to the travel agent tomorrow, explain and ask what can be done. This really isn’t worth getting stressed over, as it’s likely easily fixed.

My friend goes here every year and always raves how great it is.

People are quick to write a bad review rather than a good one so I’d take it with a pinch of salt.

Had a quick look at the most recent google reviews and, whilst there are a limited number of exceptions, the vast majority are overwhelmingly positive.
