Hi everyone

We have flights booked into and out of KL next July and at early stages of planning a 3 week trip- 2 weeks for 2 families of 3 including 2 18 yo boys and then each having a week to ourselves at the end. My initial thinking is fly on the Air Asia direct flight to Sulawesi and have 6 days there including mountain biking, white water rafting, trekking, karsts and Lake Tempe, the. Fly directly to Labuan Bajo for 7 days, including a boat trip to Komodo island, pink beach etc, a day diving or snorkelling for non divers, drive via spider web fields to Ruteng, then Bajawa to Moni for . Kelimutu, then a long drive back to LB before we all fly our separate ways. DH and I are thinking of Sumba and the teens Bali.
has anyone been to any of these places ( apart from Bali) before and if so, any thoughts/ advice? Thanks

The separate week at the end, do you mean teens separating from adults?

I haven’t been no. I really wanted to go to Sulawesi and Flores as part of our honeymoon 17 years ago but it was just too remote and hard to get around at the time. I’m sure things have changed, hopefully just enough to make life easier without being spoiled! Very envious.

Being honest I’ve only heard negative reports of Bali but maybe that’s just for the teens.

Thanks! It seems a little easier now I think!
I mean teens going off (😬) and both sets of parents also having a week to themselves. We’ve been to Bali before a long time ago and it was ok but I wouldn’t rush back. They may well go to Lombok yet, they’re not sure!
