Is £1,500 reasonable for a week in a four-star beach hotel?

It’s a good boutique 4* hotel, pool, maid service twice daily, private beach, and breakfast each day.

7 nights is coming out at £1,500 for the week.

I need more info before I could say if I thought it was a good deal.

What country, what's the area like? Close to restaurants etc? How much would you spend on food.
Good facilities in the hotel?

Rachelshair · 06/09/2026 21:29

That's quite a lot for just a room and breakfast. Depends where it is really.

reluctantbrit · 06/09/2026 21:59

Depends on the time of the holiday and location.

We just returned from Lake Garda, 4.5* hotel in walking distance to town, amazing breakfast, lovely pool and nice rooms.

It was still high season and we paid over EUR 2,000 B&B for 8 nights.

So I think it's not too bad for some locations and if you are in high season but for others or shoulder season, it may be a bit too much.

Yes we need a lot more info. Is that for 2 people? Is it a standard double room, or a sea-view, or a 2 bedroom room?

Where ? When ? How many people?

Sparrowsandbudgies · 07/09/2026 09:10

How many people? Food included or not? We paid £4.5k for a week at a 5 star all inclusive in Spain for 2 adults and one teen last year so I think if it’s just for one or two people that sounds pretty okay.

per person, with or without flights, time of year??

Could you please share the hotel?

Sounds worth it to me, especially to get the beach.

rookiemere · 07/09/2026 17:51

Depends if it’s per person or for the room, where it is and if it’s high season or not and what the reviews are like.
We have just returned from a week in Tenerife in an amazing 5 star hotel with breakfast for £2100 including flights and transfers and it was worth every penny.
