Butlins Minehead

Would you recommend it?
Would just be DH, 5 year old DD and me.

Last year we enjoyed going to a small holiday park (Whitemead Forest Park in the Forest of Dean) and we really enjoyed it. DD loved the facilities and entertainment. Butlins has more of this for cheaper but is it going to be ott?

Have a drive out to Watchet. Gorgeous little ex fishing village. The residents have worked together to regenerate, building a creative community, through hard work and community spirit.

there’s a castle, a working flour mill, a great playground for kids and a shallow ford to paddle in with a bridge to play pooh sticks from.

loads of tea rooms, etc.

also a steam railway from Minehead if it’s wet but you want to get out and about

Have fun OP! We've been to Butlins several times. My 8 year old and 4 year old love it! It's definitely a holiday for the kids, not for you 😂 but it's great seeing them have so much fun! We've never had a bad experience, but to be honest we know what we're getting with Butlins and our expectations have never been too high!
I did recommend it to a friend of ours though and she absolutely hated it, so it's not for everyone!
