Solo Paris

Hello I wanted to pick some brains about Paris please, I have a business trip coming up and I’m looking for places for a solo dinner.

Nearest station appears to be St Lazare. It will be on Sunday / Monday evening which may limit options.

Fresh Burrito and Nekko Ramen would be the kind of places where I’d feel totally comfortably dining alone, and they’re both open on Sundays Mondays.

I’d go to Galeries Lafayette Gourmet; the first floor restaurants. Lots of choice and full of shoppers having dinner. They close 2130h on Mondays, and 20h on Sunday.

Go to a proper restaurant! Solo dining is fine in Paris and completely safe. Just book, Google maps lets you book directly, anything over 4.5 is good because scores are a bit lower in France. Department store restaurants are only for tourists.

Solo dining is, of course, fine in Paris. OP is however specifically asking about the area around Gare St Lazare, which is a very retail area, and on a Sunday or Monday nights. Both of which are quieter, and some restaurants are closed, especially on Sundays.

OP, if you like Korean food, one of my favourites is Gatt. It's closer to Opera than St Lazare, though. Open Monday evening, but not on Sunday pm.

Gourmet GL is not just tourists; many of us locals go there because it's handy if doing shopping, has lots of choice, is directly opposite the metro etc.

I don’t think it’s unusual to dine alone in Paris even in a fancy restaurant. Just do it.
