Sunday papers travel adverts at back, do you use them?

The Sunday papers are always full of adverts for holidays but for some reason I've never felt I can trust them so I end up booking direct and paying through the nose.

Any experience out there?

I've booked flights in the past. Is that what you mean?

My friend book to go to Disneyland Paris as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago to her dd(8) and brother. I think the company she used was Newmarket or New-something - they always have full page ads with coach travel style holidays.

Anyway, 2 weeks before they were due to leave from Glasgow the company cancelled the holiday because there weren't enough people travelling from Scotland. Totally unfair so I would be careful having anything to do with this company.

Her dd and her brother were heart-broken.

i found a good deal for us to go to thailand at the end of november through an ad for travelbag in the papers.

We used the ads to get names of independant companies both for houses to rent in Cornwall & in Spain. They've been fine !
