Help me plan Thailand at Easter

Flights booked. Very much looking forward to this trip.

me, DH and 2 kids age 12&10.

any recommendations for hotels in Bangkok?
we then want to do 10 days or so split between the beaches. Maybe 5 nights Krabi and 5 nights Phuket. Maybe Koh Samui or Koh Tao?

we have 15 nights in total. My DH has limited mobility in his legs so no climbing mountains

we have a healthy budget so looking forward nice hotels, suitable for kids in good locations. The choice is overwhelming!

Will you be flying from Bangkok to Phuket / koh Samui, or train etc?

weve just back from Vietnam, absolutely loved it. Did Koh samui years ago bit quite commercialised. I’ve just booked Thailand, we’re doing 3 nights in Bangkok in the old town, khao Lak, a couple of days in Khao Sok and then 2 nights in Phuket Old town.

Easter sometimes coincides with Thailands family festival of Songkran, which is their New Year water festival. Check the dates for this, because it can be a whole week of festivities.

We book through Booking.com though, not the official website and we find that the prices fluctuate over different days.

We're going to Thailand and then down to Malaysia for 5 weeks November to December . We're flying into Bangkok and out of Kuala Lumpur. We've got 4 nights in Bangkok then doing some island hopping down to Koh Lipe for 7 nights and onto Langkawi then KL.

We've booked all our accommodation but opted for free cancellation with Booking .com in case our plans change.

We have never done this type of holiday before but I've really enjoyed planning it all, watching YouTube travellers for ideas and costing stuff out. I'm not even going to take a hairdryer.

Songkran will be amazing! We did Bangkok, Chiang Mai then Koh Chang with ours that age over Easter was a few years ago so can’t remember where we stayed! Flew Manchester to Bangkok and then internal flights and back again.

We stayed at the Eastin Grand Phayathai in Bangkok this summer and would really recommend it. It is directly linked to the station at the end of the airport rail link so v easy and quick to get from the airport. It also means it only costs you about a pound each. The hotel was beautiful with two lovely rooftop pools. As for the islands, if you're going at Easter you can take advantage of visiting the places that aren't so good in our summer, so I would stick to the Krabi/khao sok/phuket side rather than Samui or Koh Tao. Thailand makes for a great holiday, so much to choose from!
