Where would you go?

We have agreed that once we move into our new home, we will start ttc. We have been told this will be around May.

We love to travel and plan our destinations the year before so we are now planning for 2027. Where would you go? Where do you wish you went before having children? I know people will make it work but if there’s somewhere you wish you had gone child free, I’d love to hear those suggestions.

We had originally planned Japan in April to coincide with the cherry blossoms but we have two weddings in April so we can’t really work around this. April-June are likely to be city breaks/ short stays given how much we have on in those months.

We went to Thailand end of January to mid-February and it was great weatherwise and we will be in Vietnam next year in March, south to middle of the country, not the north.

Doable with children no doubt but DD isn't a great traveller for adventurous long-haul so we now carry on alone as she is at uni.

Australia/New Zealand is now on our list for a February trip in a couple of years.

Maybe a safari in South Africa?

I would get Cambodia out of the way, it’s not somewhere I’d take little kids but Angkor Wat is stunning.
