Christmas cruising

Anyone ever been on a Christmas cruise? DH and I have booked one, somewhat on the spur of the moment, to Scandinavia. We have no surviving parents and no children and have never been away over Christmas (other than to DH’s parents), and I suddenly got the urge to do something different! Would be grateful for any experiences. We are experienced cruisers, just never been on a Christmas and New Year one and wonder what it’s like.

I did, 2015 so a while ago now. P&O to the Canary Islands.
it was wonderful. Beautifully decorated, festive, delicious food and waited on hand and foot. Do it!

Scandinavia will be very cold, but beautiful at Christmas as it will probably be snowy. We’ve done a Christmas cruise to the Caribbean at Christmas - it was with P&O and we loved it. Good food and a wonderful itinerary. Enjoy!
