Holiday nightmare

I had food poisoning in Egypt the last few days I wanted to go see the pyramids with my nine year old who refused to see it. I feel really depressed about not seeing the pyramids. Leaving in less than 2 days apart of me feels selfish that depressed over it.

When your 9-year old pays for your holiday, he or she can decide wheter you see the pyramides or not.

Food poisoning in Egypt sounds horrible though.

Kids will complain about doing anything that isn’t what they chose, it doesn’t mean you let them dictate what you do, it means you take them anyway. My 5yr old would love to constantly play games, with toys and only leave the house to go to the park or soft play, he even is somehow simultaneously tired, hungry, thirsty and suffering from leg pain when we decide we’re going to have a wander around the shops but miraculously okay if we say ‘well that rules out the park afterwards then’. You just have to let them get on with it, and carry on as you were planning to. Go to the pyramids.

You cant go to Egypt and not see the bloody pyramids like you cant to to Agra and not see the bloody Taj Mahal. But i wouldn't drag a child around those places. Next time go on your own.

Kids club for the day an option?

What has the food poisoning got to do with your 9 year old not wanting to see the pyramids? Very confusing post

I’d be more depressed about letting my 9 year old dictate what we are doing!

to be honest cannot see the point of visiting Egypt without seeing pyramids.
