Best drink to have on all inclusive holiday?

Currently on an AI holiday. There is every type of cocktail, mocktail etc on the menu. I normally just drink wine but feel I should try something.. recommendations?

It's 1/3 vermouth, so a good proportion of the drink IMO.

I love a Dirty Manhattan. Nothing sweet about it.

I’m old and I don’t drink (alcohol) at all except perhaps Bailey’s at Christmas. I had an All Inclusive holiday last year when DD got married and I got into a rhythm of Baileys iced coffee at 11.00, then Pina Coladas. Nice!

A finnish long drink

1.5 oz gin
4 oz of Fresca (a grapefruit flavored fizzy water but often sold in cans and packaged like it’s a soda)
1/2 oz lemon juice
garnished with mint and lime

Gin fizz (there’s many variations)
aperol spritz

neither too sweet

my go to though is a passion fruit martini

Not all AIs are equal though. I love margaritas, but they can be done very badly. However, the absolute worst was an Ai in Kos which, not only served everything in plastics glasses, but basically made all cocktails out of fizzy drinks and the odd fruit juice.

Well perhaps I'm pedantic, that vermouth is just that, vermouth. Yes it's based itself on wine, but it's moved beyond a 'glass of wine' or 'add wine', but yes I take your point

Apart from Sex on the Beach which was always done correctly 😂 I have been to Kos too many years ago.

If you don't like anything too sweet, Try a Cuba Libre or a Peru Libre!

To be fair, the kids were v young, so we were just made up we could have a drink at all😆

Dark and Stormy - delicious! dark rum, ginger and lime - not too sweet sort of spicy and really great late :)

I usually have Aperol Spritz but occasionally indulge myself with a pina colada

Also strawberry mojito can be nice if made with real crushed strawberries

Are the cocktails freshly made or pre mixed? I’d give the pre mixed machine ones a swerve but my favourites are mojitos and strawberry daiquiris

Obviously depends on whose making them and hopefully not premixed or versions of

Negroni (= measures of martini Rossi, Campari and Gin), unless at the lovely bar I went to in Newcastle who replaced the gin with spiced dark rum (I appreciate Kate Newcastle bar isn’t a sunny AI but it was super lovely)

I like an espresso martini, I usually have one or two before dinner as a sun downer. I also like mango margaritas, but blended and only if it’s the sort of resort which uses real fruit, otherwise don’t bother.

Negroni equal parts red vermouth, gin, Campari

margarita ask them to just leave out the sugar syrup.
